SOOKIE

Marais
Paris 3eme
Plunge into the heart of Paris’s historic Marais district and discover Hôtel Sookie, a unique creation by interior designer Dorothée Delaye, which combines retro and authentic decor.

The ideally located Hôtel Sookie offers 31 rooms designed with care by Dorothée Delaye. Formerly an 18th-century Filles-du-Calvaire convent, the space retains its original charm, with period beams carefully enhanced by a selection of objects sourced in collaboration with Emmeline Pics. These include armchairs by designer Marc Berthier, antique ceramics, smoked glass sconces and many other treasures. The choice of natural materials, such as wood, bamboo, rattan and stone, lends a warm atmosphere to the space.

Dorothée Delaye has also designed bespoke pieces, such as the bar in Italian marble and hemp (Nobilis), which adorns the walls and cupboards of the bedrooms. On the first floor, the coffee-shop offers an uncluttered space to enjoy Lanni fair-trade coffee, accompanied by delicacies such as chocolate babka, fresh fruit granola or avocado toast. Clean lines, fluted glass display cabinets and mirrors bring brightness and modernity to this recently refurbished space.

Hotel Sookie’s rooms are designed in a retro 1950s spirit, with particular attention to detail, from plush curly wool carpets (Codimat) to singular pieces, such as ceramic vases transformed into bedside lamps and Le Monde Sauvage bed linen.

Under the signature of Dorothée Delaye, Hôtel Sookie opened its doors in June 2021, anchored in the heart of Paris’s Marais district.

After 2 years of total renovation, the 31 rooms boast generous wood and fabric furnishings, hand-crafted lighting and boldly modern works of art.

A coffee shop has been set up on the first floor to awaken neighborhood neighbors and floor mates. The menu is short, with fresh produce and the best local latex.

All this in a very friendly yet elegant, unifying and relaxed atmosphere.
