Monte Carlo Beach Club
MonacoThe new decor of the Monte Carlo Beach Club, rebirth of a legendary venue
In mid-April, the legendary Monte Carlo Beach Club will reopen its doors after a renovation of its iconic restaurant and pool, unveiling a concept that pays homage to the Mediterranean maximalism of the Roaring Twenties.
Almost a century old, the Monte Carlo Beach Club is an emblematic Côte d’Azur landmark, synonymous with elegance and refinement. Dorothée Delaye reinvents it in a setting where 1920s luxury meets contemporary comfort.
“Particular attention was paid to the harmonious integration of the club into its exceptional natural surroundings, offering breathtaking views of the Mediterranean.
The Mediterranean maximalism of the Roaring Twenties is an invitation to celebrate beauty, joie de vivre and the art of entertaining, in a luxurious, refined setting where everything is designed to defy simplicity.
This period, synonymous with exuberance, accumulation and detail in decoration, is the perfect cocktail to give a new soul to this mythical place,” emphasizes Dorothée Delaye.
Dorothée Delaye’s design blends memories and heritage, in a warm, colorful, quirky yet resolutely modern atmosphere. Visitors can reconnect with the place’s past, its history and its era, while borrowing from today’s codes.
Dorothée designed all the furniture for the restaurant, as well as the deckchairs and cabanas for the pool house. The materials are noble, the colors often vivid and the motifs sometimes exuberant, some of them custom-made, in total harmony with the idyllic setting, the light and the flower-filled terraces that recall the exoticism and escapism suggested by the landscape and the sea.
Dorothée Delaye also drew inspiration from artists who were influenced by the French Riviera and its aesthetic, such as Picasso, Dufy, Léger and Cocteau. The Côte d’Azur has always attracted artists, a destination where the atmosphere is both sunny and friendly, and where freedom of expression is celebrated. The Monte Carlo Beach Club by Dorothée Delaye embodies this spirit of the Roaring Twenties, its abundance and visual richness.
A veritable plunge into Monegasque hedonism!
